FSA crank with shimano cups

I’ve done a search on this but it I’m still not clear. Is it possible to use an FSA crank, Gossamer 53/39 2006, with shimano bottom bracket cups. Appreciate any help.

I don’t know your answer, so here’s another question:

Where’d you get the gossamer? When I bought mine, it came with the BB cups, so I just used them. Do you hate them and prefer Shimano, or don’t have them?

The FSA crank/cups came with my soloist team. I converted this to TT bike last year and fitted DuraAce crank/cups. Want to convert this back into a training bike and put the FSA crank back on but keep the shimano cups. I have the tools for the shimano cups and they are much more readily available/cheaper. The FSA bearings are worn…

yes, this was discussed recently here. However, I think that the FSA cranks may use shims, if so, you may still need those.

It works. I’m running FSA Gossamers with an Ultegra BB. It’s a tighter fit for the axle but I’ve been running this setup for a few thousand miles with no problems.

Thanks. I’ll put it together and see how it works.
