Before they go up for sale on Ebay, I thought that I’d throw these out there for 'twitchers:

Pyro Platforms will help you blaze through your transitions. Ideal for sprint triathlons and duathlons because you can use your running shoes on the bike and still have a stable platform in which to transfer power to your drivetrain.

· Unique heel retainer prevents pull-out on the steepest hills, as well as allows the use of any width shoe

· Easy-to-use Velcro strap

· Composite nylon platform for optimal strength/stiffness and less weight

· Adjust heel piece for ease of entry/exit, without sacrificity motion control

· Use with popular pedal designs, including SPD (cleats not included)

· Size: Large (fits men’s 8.5 and larger)

If you are using Time or Speedplay pedals, you will need to use their adaptors as the PYROs are drilled to the more common 3-hole (Look) and 2-hole (SPD) patterns. Adaptors are NOT included with this sale.

I got a pair for my wife and sent them back. Just about impossible to get your foot with running shoe in them smoothly or quickly. I sent them back.

Well Slick…that’s one person’s opinion. Others have used them with a great deal of success and continue to use them on their way to speedy race finishes. No offense intended, and I’m not trying to stir the pot here, but we’re all just experiments of one, are we not?

The pedal platforms are still for sale at the aforementioned price.
