The SRM training system is a state of the art device for displaying, collecting and analyzing performance data during cycling. It has a wide variety of applications including control of training and competition, scientific research and exercise prescription. The system is designed to simultaneously display and record Power Output, Heart Rate, Cadence, Wheel Speed, Distance Covered, Ambient Temperature and Energy Expenditure. Highlights are the Handmade strain-gauge instrumented crankset (the Powermeter) that enables pedal rate, effective torque and power output to be measured and A handlebar mounted data logger and display unit (the Power control) which incorporates an inductive receiver for Heart Rate transmission (heart rate strap not included).
