I have a singlespeed conversion that uses the big ring only. Would these work to keep the chain from dropping off of that, or do they only extend to cover the inner chainring?
I don’t believe it would work in your case. It is designed so that if your chain “drops” from your big ring it would fall onto the watcher’s ramp which would guide the chain onto the small chain ring. I believe the ramp would be too far below and too far starboard of your big chain ring to be effective with your set-up.
