Had a great week of training and work (did I actually say that you could have a great work week and a great training week at the same time…I always thought they were mutually exclusive). Running is finally coming along quite well. Tonite, I’ll watch the hated Leafs play the equally hated Flyers ! Tomorrow, 2 hour run, Sunday 4 hour ride with ~4000ft of climbing. That should put another 16 hour week in the bag. Also plan a few mountain bike rides with my 7 year old son. Sadly, most of us don’t have weekend plans as exciting as Fasttwitch !
Saturday: Ride 60-70 miles, eat, work in yard, buy wife dinner, assemble and install new wheels/brake shoes/tubes/tires.
Sunday: Run 15 miles, eat, sleep, food shopping
Yes, it does indeed suck that the Canadiens went out in 4 without much of a fight. Good luck at Flying Pig Marathon, I hear that it is a tough course. I’d have to say, of the remaining teams, I’m going for the Flames…
Looks like my run and ride this weekend will be in the rain, although finally, it will be above freezing, so a nice “warm” rain. I’ll also have to check the online results of my poser training buddies who will be down at the STX sufferfest this weekend !
I agree with you, I will start wtching the flames… I had so much fun watching tho bos-montreal and ott/tor games, not so fun this time… yeah, the pig is a very tough hilly course. But I have trained on it all year so I know i inside out, should help… Only If the rain could go away… Have fun training…
Tonite - 1:45 swim, watch girlfriend eat pizza while we watch Kill Bill
Sat. - 2:00 bike, yoga 1hr, strength 45 min., nap, go to a bar party and say “Whew, look at the time” at 10pm (thinking about Sunday training already), apologize to g-friend for yet another early evening…
Sun. - 1:30 swim, 2:00 bike, stretch, NBA playoffs, cook Italian and watch Sopranos.
I miss Larry David, when’s Curb your Enthusiasm start again?
Yarf my man…you have a young family and are training for tri and playing golf. Is your wife a saint ? I know mine is, but this raises the bar even higher !
Now that I realize that I’m an ultra lazy slob after recovering from WTH it’s time to get back to it. I let the evil Ben & Jerry’s, pizza, chips & salsa, junk food devils get to me. I’m going to do some easy and fun training this weekend and then hit it up hardcore next week again.
Tonite:
20mile hilly ride home from work with co-worker
Saturday:
Early morning ride 40-50miles
Afternoon hike or easy run
Sunday:
Trail Run - out until I feel I want to turn around
It should be fun so I can kick my a** to get ready for my 1/2 IM in September.
The goal is to go sub 5:00 and it’ll take some digging for a few months.
We only have one car - by riding my bike to the golf course I am letting her have the car. I have to be home by noon. That is the deal. Our son wakes up at 7:30 or so eats and then gos back to sleep till 10:30 or 11:00 so if I am home by noon she hasn’t had to do much yet.
