Friday Afternoon: What's Your Weekend Plans?

Had a great week of training and work (did I actually say that you could have a great work week and a great training week at the same time…I always thought they were mutually exclusive). Running is finally coming along quite well. Tonite, I’ll watch the hated Leafs play the equally hated Flyers ! Tomorrow, 2 hour run, Sunday 4 hour ride with ~4000ft of climbing. That should put another 16 hour week in the bag. Also plan a few mountain bike rides with my 7 year old son. Sadly, most of us don’t have weekend plans as exciting as Fasttwitch !

Good luck to all at Wildflower and STX !

Dev

yeah… I hate the flyers too. My team, the canadians, got smashed in four games… Week-end: chill, carb load and do the flying pig marathon on sunday:)

Saturday: 100 mile ride

Sunday: ride 90-120 minutes followed by a 45 minute run; later swim an hour

In between…eat and sleep.

Rest week next week, and I need it.

Have fun all.

Saturday - 4hr ride, 1 hour run, lunch, 4-6 hours study, eat, sleep

Monday(holiday in UK) - 3-4 hours study, 2 hour run, eat, 2 hours study, lounge around, eat, 1.5 hours swim, eat, sleep

Not the most exciting w/e of my life. Hope you all have more fun than me.

Yes, it does indeed suck that the Canadiens went out in 4 without much of a fight. Good luck at Flying Pig Marathon, I hear that it is a tough course. I’d have to say, of the remaining teams, I’m going for the Flames…

Looks like my run and ride this weekend will be in the rain, although finally, it will be above freezing, so a nice “warm” rain. I’ll also have to check the online results of my poser training buddies who will be down at the STX sufferfest this weekend !

Just done a bitterly cold sea swim.

Saturday: 2 hour swim set.

Sunday Brick: 3 hour ride on race course on Computrainer followed by 90 run (last 30 flat out).

I agree with you, I will start wtching the flames… I had so much fun watching tho bos-montreal and ott/tor games, not so fun this time… yeah, the pig is a very tough hilly course. But I have trained on it all year so I know i inside out, should help… Only If the rain could go away… Have fun training…

Yep more cold and rain here in Shitcago too!! LOL…

The weekend started Thursday. Went for an 80 minute ride at lunch and then left work real early. Ran 90 minutes that evening.

Went for a 2 hr ride at lunch and now am leaving early again. Probably will swim 4K.

Sat. long ride, hope to get in 4+ hrs and then a 30 minute run.

Sunday, early ride then weights inthe afternoon. Might through in a run or swim if the body feels up to it.

Yarf my man…you have a young family and are training for tri and playing golf. Is your wife a saint ? I know mine is, but this raises the bar even higher !

Now that I realize that I’m an ultra lazy slob after recovering from WTH it’s time to get back to it. I let the evil Ben & Jerry’s, pizza, chips & salsa, junk food devils get to me. I’m going to do some easy and fun training this weekend and then hit it up hardcore next week again.

Tonite:
20mile hilly ride home from work with co-worker

Saturday:
Early morning ride 40-50miles
Afternoon hike or easy run

Sunday:
Trail Run - out until I feel I want to turn around

It should be fun so I can kick my a** to get ready for my 1/2 IM in September.

The goal is to go sub 5:00 and it’ll take some digging for a few months.

100 miles tomorrow followed by a 30 minute run. On Sunday a sweet little recovery 50 and a swim in PM.

Punctuated, of course, by some quality time with my wife and friends eating lots of PIE. I swear.

We only have one car - by riding my bike to the golf course I am letting her have the car. I have to be home by noon. That is the deal. Our son wakes up at 7:30 or so eats and then gos back to sleep till 10:30 or 11:00 so if I am home by noon she hasn’t had to do much yet.

Tonight - carbs and fluids.

Tomorrow - Drive to Cincinnati.

Sunday - Run the Flying Pig marathon.

Monday - Hobble around a lot.
