i get this request from time to time. my concern is the inability to moderate it effectively. yes, we have francois, who’s already a moderator, we have herbert, who’s already a moderator, and we have me if we also put forward a forum in pig latin.
if this thread dies a quick death, that’s the answer. but you never know unless you ask.
As everybody knows (except you maybe…) Tour de France is cycling, not triathlon…
…And talking about triathlon, it seems to me that the first French finished before the first American in Hawaii in 2008 (that is enough recent for you i hope)…
But about the forum, i agree with you, no need for a french forum here, we already have french forums… thank you.

Absolutely yes! I am Czech and can tell you that this forum has a growing audience in the tri and roadie community in my native country and indeed in other parts of Europe (ST pops up on all sorts of forums over there, and I don’t mean just the UK-based tritalk.co.uk; I’ve seen it on Latvian, Polish, German, and Austrian sites also). But tons of folks are kept away by the language barrier. So I’d definitely add French and Spanish, or, better yet, French and German.
That’s actually a good idea. Instead of a forum in french, why not introducing more a the metric system in the articles on bikes, swimming, and the forum talks. That would help the rest of the world better understand these.
