Has anyone used one of the freight companies to ship bikes from the mainland to Kona for IM??? What companies worked well or should be avoided from personal experience??

try FedEx ground (they even ship trico cases and triall3sport cases while UPS still charges extra) or for door to door delivery www.sportsexpress.com

I use Fed Ex for ground shipping in the continental US with excellent results…especially since the gorillas in TSA don’t get their hands on my carbon wheels.
Flying Tigers, DHL??? Anyone use these and what were the results/costs???
sportsexpress also ships internationally and they get discount rates - worth checking out. never tried DHL or the likes
