Free dive base jump

as a triathlete, in a wetsuit, in the ocean, we have our idea of what we expect to get out of the experience. then there’s this. that’s total immersion

Holy crap, that’s awesome! I didn’t read the intro text before watching, so I was amazed and a bit skeptical all at the same time, but reading the text doesn’t take anything away from how awesome of a feeling that must be to fall. Although I’d wonder what freaking huge sea snake lived down in that deep hole!

yeah, but he didn’t actually touch bottom.

I can see the conversation between him and these guys at a party:

“Yah, but I go over 100 mph…”

“Sure, but I can hold my breath for 5 minutes.”

“Dude, anybody can free fall in water, duh.”

“At least I don’t have to wear funny-looking clothes…Oh, wait.”
.

! I saw this recently too and have been obsessed about underwater base jumping. I wouldn’t want to free dive it though. Guillaume can hold his breath for 3 minutes. I think 1:15 was my best, but I haven’t tried in a while.

Such a cool video!

He can most likely hold his breath longer than three minutes…the world record is 11:35 for static apnea without oxygen. It’s over 20 minutes with oxygen.
