No, not the election! Francois said “can’t race in FL” - does that mean he’s in FL but the race isn’t on yet, or that he won’t be racing IMFL?
It was never as close as the Dems made it out to be. I did a breakdown by region a couple of days ago which showed that Kerry would have needed over 98% of the black vote (which is what Gore got in 2000) to have a shot at winning it. Recent studies showed Bush making at least a 5% gain in his black vote totals from 2000.
Truly, blacks gave Gore the popular vote in 2000. The country has been gradually turning redder over the last 40 years. And even James Carville said on CNN tonight that the Dems are going to have to rethink their strategy and get cracking on recapturing some of the outstate rural areas and christian-leaning voting population, which they used to at least split 50-50 with the Reeps.
