Francois Damn That's a Small Frame!

This pic really shows how extreme your position is. It must be a pain getting to those water bottles.

you must get a sore back from that position. do you?

and it can’t be healthy to have that much downward pressure on your package either!

and who’s the guy with the Marines jersey with you in that pic?

Timbo

Tim the person in that picture is your buddy.

I would give Francois grief about his crazy “Bjorn” position, but he rides about as well as Bjorn so somehow the point falls flat.

Kick butt in France this summer Francois.

That guy in the Marines jersey is none other than Gordo Byrne hisself. Francois and his wife hosted Gordo and Clas on thier training ride across America.

Where’d they come by the Marines jerseys? Some hookup through our team or were the jerseys on sale at Ralphs or something? Just curious, as a Marine and all. . .

I’ve seen them at http://www.counterpartcoaching.com/Marine.htm.

Rob

They are sold on this website by a Capt who is also an online coach.

From G’s diary:

Also a public show of appreciation to Wingnut and Mitch – our training pals at Twentynine Palms. When we arrived in El Paso there was a full set of Marine Bike Kit waiting for us. As you will see from the photos of this morning’s roll out, Baron and I were clean shaven and looking very sharp in our new kit. Lads, we’ll do our best to bring honour to the gear. The stuff is like automobile body armour – the closest any car got to us today was two meters, not a single honk, not a single bit of hassle. Baron and I can feel the respect that the nation has for you guys and your fellow Marines. Heartfelt thanks, we both feel a lot safer in the gear (and we managed to sort out who got the bibs without a fight… me!).

Thanks for the link. . .that’s what I get for being marooned here on the east coast. I had no idea Mitch had gone down that path. . .

When was the picture taken? I live very close to El Paso and would have loved to meet everyone.

Yes, I live in LC. Yesterday everyone from here was at the century ride at White Sands. I was in Socorro, NM visiting my parents for Easter. Did you get caught in any heavy rain yesterday? From the look of your clothes I thought the picture was taken during the winter! It doesn’t do our usually warm sunny days here any justice. Will you be at MVTC triathlon next Sunday?

You did the balls of steel ride! There is a large ball (some sort of communications thing) located at the top of the peak out there on Corralito’s Ranch road. Once you jump the fenc it’s a pretty tought climb at to get to the ball. Our Saturday goup has been progressing closer and closer to the ball every weekend. I have been training with Danny quite a bit as he is getting ready for IM Brazil.

Good luck at the 1/2.

Hmmmm, Francois be not ugly.

-The next greatest signature…in a minute…

What’s the weather like in El Paso this time of year? As a northerner, I just got back from a couple of hours in 6 degree C weather and you guys look like you were dressed about as warmly as I was except for the gloves.

“not being ugly” is an interesting way to compliment someone.

not attractive but yet not ugly!

I was thinking he reminded me of Rick Moranis.

yeah, you could lick that front wheel to keep it shiny!

nice yard! is that rock or is the grass still brown?

Timo

Wow! 35F in Texas makes me happy to be living in the “warm” Canadian north  Although, the “usually 80F” part sounds pretty good to someone who has only been outside for a few rides so far this year.
