I have about a month’s worth of runs in my 305 that I need to put in WKO+. Some questions…
Will it directly download the entire batch?
Is there an order to connecting the cradle / opening the program / etc etc? Or drivers to install? Because I’m getting a “not able to detect the device” error immediately when I click “Download.” I do have “Garmin 105/205/305” selected under “Training device type” and it shows “USB Interface” for “Training Device port” – what am I missing?!
I’ve searched the WKO+ wiki, the user guide, and the tutorial …can’t seem to find anything more than just to “connect the device and click download.” And that doesn’t seem to be working. Any help much appreciated. Thanks
It sounds like you need to install the driver for the Garmin USB device. You should install the software which was provided with the Garmin 305, the Garmin Training Center, or check Garmin’s website for the driver. Without the driver, the computer doesn’t understand how to communicate with the device.
If you have already done this, you may need to reboot your computer or close and restart WKO.
Otherwise, I would suggest just downloading the info into Garmin Training Center, and then exporting the workouts individually into WKO.
Makes sense. Being a Mac user, I’m just used to plugging things in and them “just working.” When it said it recognized the USB Device, I took that to mean it didn’t need a driver. But, you’re probably right…I’ll give that a shot. Thanks.
