From a guy who just finished IM Canada (his first).
I won’t bore you with the details of the training–you all know what
that’s like. Richard recognized that with a work and family schedule
like mine, following a strict plan would not be possible. But he
explained his “Pennies in a Jar” theory–each training session adds a
penny to the Jar; missing one does not take one out. I missed plenty of
sessions, but I did manage to hit most of the key workouts. And picked
up an IMC slot in Muskoka.
