Since Ironwolf has been trying to find a way into the ultraraces - Steve Kirby confirmed a couple of weeks ago about the second double iron in Virginia (big smile!). Told him to be on the lookout for you since you were struggling with getting into his events. It’s not too late to get ready.
Both events will be at Lake Anna. Double iron in Sept and the double and triple iron in October. I’m thinking just the race in oct is set for series points for IUTA. THRILLED USA now has THREE ultras (Steve’s got more in his back pocket coming on down). If I’m not mistaken the sept race should be the 25th anniversary of the double in America.
IronWolf has temporarily retired from the tri scene and is turning to Ultra runs and Ultra MTB stuff.I still reckon he should front up to the Sept race.I’ll be there Eileen and hopefully will see you there as well.

nick I’m really out of the loop! Tell him lake anna is more like an adventure race anyway with that little hill. If he doesn’t want to swim there’s always kayacking. Besides tents are involved, old school baby.
Yes I’ll be there only in sept, it’ll be interesting as literally 2 days beforehand will be the first time going longer than 30 hrs of swimming straight is slated - I’m worried about that aftermath. Looking forward to a totally low key event as I think most will choose the oct date.
