Footbed for running or cycling?

Ok, so I got a certificate for a pair of Sole Custom Footbeds. I currently do not have footbeds in either my cycling or running shoes. I do have them in my ski boots and hiking boots, but both of those are large & stiff (not too transferable to sports).

I’m pretty new to the sport of triathlon. I am a more experienced runner than biker, and like the way my previous and current shoes have worked (Asics 10-1100 series). My cycling shoes seem to work fine too, but I have nowhere near the mileage on them. I’m leaning towards cycling because of the inexperience and lack of mileage. My only hesitation is a current knee issue caused by run overtraining (speed work too soon after a marathon, I’m an idiot).

What say you old and wise folk?
