Foot tingling during longer rides

Anyone experience their foot tingling or that foot falling asleep feeling while riding? This seems to happen after about 2 hours in the saddle. The shoes are Sidi Mega’s and they are 2.5 years old. Shoe replacement maybe? Thanks for the help.

It happens to me too. When I start feeling my toes getting numb I try to wiggle the toes as much as I can while riding. After a few minutes that I get my circulation back it gets better and I can continue riding with no problems.

i used to have it really bad last year, because my shoes were too small. now I have bigger shoes, but still find that this eventually happens. Just like getting up and out of the saddle, try to move your whole foot and toes around. it really helps. if it happens quickly in your rides, perhaps your shoes are too small.

good luck!

I found that the problem was at the top of the shoe. Mine has 2 velcro straps across it, and if I had the upper of the two (closest to the leg) just a leeeeetle too tight, my foot would tingle and go numb. Wiggling the toes helped, but slightly loosening that strap cured it instantly and permanently. Try that first, as you might be pinching the main nerve through the foot like I was.
