Foot injury...please help with this

Got an issue with my left foot. Will do my best to explain.

First: left achilles tendon has been sore and irritated on the OUTSIDE part of the Achilles. It is about .25 inches above where the ankle bone is, but on the tendon. It is NOT sore on the right of the tendon. This is not my issue, but wanted to make a point of it. This has hurt for a while.

My left calf is very sore, and again has been for quite some time. ZERO issues when I would run though.

MAJOR problem…
this is on the INSIDE of my foot, in between my Achilles and ankle bone, slightly BELOW the ankle bone. The odd thing is that it hurts, BAD, when I stretch my hamstring. When I flex my toes/foot, it takes very little of a hammy stretch to feel the high intensity burn. When I POINT my toes, and stretch my hammy, very little burn. Unsure where this pain is originating, if that makes sense.

I did this when I was at work, just standing, and it started tingling…in a bad way.

Any idea? I’m trying to search for some foot anatomy charts to find out what’s going on, or at least what is around that area.

Thanks in advance.

.

what does that mean?

Sorry, just a bit more information. I’m running with Saucony’s ProGrid Guide 4 with DownUnder inserts. Have a slight pronation and I have the inserts to stabalize the heel and mitigate my pronation.

what does that mean?

It means rest. Take it easy. Your body is telling you to cool it before it decides to explode.

I was resting for about 10 days when the pain happened, and that was a week ago or so. Not gotten any better at all.

If you want some google assistance, start with “tarsal tunnel syndrome”

Best of luck.

Thanks! I also googled Posterior tibialis tendonitis. Is that also on target? with a quick look it seems to describe what I feel.

What has been stumped is the connection to my hamstring. I can’t understand it. Any clue into that? I have NOT read the tarsal tunnel syndrome yet, so if that’s where my answer is, please say so!

Yes, the posterior tibial tendon runs in the same tunnel and symptoms are in the same “area” but different clinical findings (hard to do through my laptop/iphone)

The hamstring connection can be from some sciatic nerve issues as well (posterior tibial nerve off of the sciatic)
.

go see a good sports physio. I snapped my achillies a few years ago and that is not what you want. You cant google everything. Let a pro have a look and feel and they will tell you what to do, do what they tell you. Good luck with it.

M!!! sorry you’re hurt :frowning:
get to the pool in the meantime
