Foot hitting the front tire!

Toe overlap is not a big problem, unless you’re trying to do trackstands on your bike. Messing around with the geometry of the bike, or your set-up (moving cleats forward can lead to knee problems!) will only create other problems. As others have stated, it’s generally not an issue during everyday use. For cornering, your inside foot should be at the top of the pedal stroke. Allows you to properly weight the outside foot, and prevents pedal strike.

It is a bigger problem with a fixed gear bike. bigger like a 2 out of ten.

Dirt

I don’t think many people are turning the pedals at the turn-around so it isn’t a problem. If you are turning the pedals, the turn-around/corner isn’t that sharp so you won’t move the bars much, which is also not a problem. In other words, don’t worry about it!

Sure - those ridiculous Terry bikes with the small front wheel. I can’t tell you how many people over the years tried to sell me 650 wheel bikes so that I could avoid pedal overlap - simply because I was buying a small bike. guess they didn’t realize the bike was actually capable of coasting through turns. and that I’d be in a bit of trouble if my wheel was turned that much at any thing but a really slow speed.

I don’t think LA lost wattage. The reason he went back to his standard BB was because he felt like it affected his riding the next day after riding the narrow BB. Apparenlty his ‘non-coach’ Ferrari noticed the affect on LA…

It had nothing to do with aerodynamics or wattages.
