I just signed up for my first international IM and was wondering about flying with our nutrition. I solely use Hammer Nutrition products and always bring my own to races. Would I have a problem going thru customs carrying my own Perpetuem, gels, pills, etc?
No worries. Make sure u put ur gel packs in ur suticase. I use InfinIT and put the powder in a water bottle and put them in my backpack as handcarry luggage. I have never had any problem going through customs or whatsoever.
I just did the ITU worlds over in france. I was in the same boat. I use infinit and packed my whole tub of it in bubble wrap- then put it right in my bike box. I also had a bottle of endurolytes and a bag of gels.
I had no problems with it at all. I think they opened on the flight to France, they put that inspection note in there, but they didnt seem to have moved anything. I think if you do the bike box route you’d be fine.
