The nutrition label says 1 capsule. I am wondering what exactly is in each capsule? I see nothing that says “each capsule contains” or anything like that. This is an extremely confusing site.
Each capsule contains: PURENERGY™ (135mg), Beetroot (250mg), and Rhodolia Rosea (100mg)
Each bottle contains 20 servings at racing dosage (2 capsules)/ 40 servings at training dosage (1 Capsule)
.
Assuming your calling PurEnergy an unknown ingredient. Here is some information on the product for your use. It is completely legal, just an alternative to normal caffeine
So my understanding is that Beet root works best when you build it in your system over a period of time, while Caffeine actually gives you a significant better boost if you stay off of it for at min 3 day, but for best effects 2 weeks. So what is the dosing regime of your pills?
For Beetroot peak levels arrive about 2-3 hours after ingestion, and are approaching baseline again by 12 hours later. Im not sure where you heard about accumulated beetroot supplementation? Maybe your confusing it with beta-alanine? And yes that is right about caffeine and also holds true for this product. For most effective results its recommend to only take full doses on race day and key training sessions, not as an everyday supplement.
This link states: “ChromaDex…announced today (May 13, 2014) the initiation of the second human clinical study for PURENERGY®, its patented caffeine ingredient.”
It also states: The Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved, crossover design study will be administered by Medicus Research and will build on the results from the first PURENERGY® human study, which was performed in the summer of 2013. The new clinical trial will study the bioavailability and pharmacokinetics of PURENERGY® as compared to caffeine and pTeroPure®pterostilbene alone at repeated doses.
Your website claims: “Just pure and effective doses backed by clinical studies!”
Note your website says studies, not study. If ChromaDex is just now announcing the second study, there can only be one study completed. Unless there have been other completed and published studies.
Could you post a clinical citation to the actual study completed and published, as well as any other studies that your website claims?
“Just pure and effective doses backed by clinical studies!” refers to studies on the other ingredients as well, beetroot and rhodolia rosea. Here are some studies for each, if you want more feel free to ask
