We are thinking about producing a Florida Duathlon in November. Any interest - Is November to late in the year for people to compete? Z
IMO, nope not too late–especially in FL! Where exactly are you thinking of holding the event?
The Florabama used to have a fall/winter duathlon and it seemed like the field size was pretty decent. The race was postponed and later cancelled for 2004 because of Ivan damage, but is now showing up on Active as back on for mid-October of this year.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking Tom? Run/Bike times four or five. End with a run. Go with short segments and let the repetition do the damage. It’d be awesome if the runs had “obstacles” as well.
Hold it at Lake Louisa State Park. That would be a great venue. And yeah November would be great.

The NTC held an Aquathlon series in 2003 I believe. It’s high time we resurrect it now. Can’t let the Gulf Coast hog all the Aquathlon action! 
I would make the 8 hr drive to Clermont for the race. What about a 2m/10m/2m/10m/2m race. Make sure to have some hills or I know already who will win this race. 10k/40k/5k is a great distance but to hard for most sprint/OD triathletes.
