I have never done disney so I can not compare. yesterday I went to haines city, lake eva to check out the race site, and ride the bike course. I have raced many places including hawaii, this is one beautiful park. Could not swim because the beach was closed I was there around noon and the wind was up, out of the southwest the lake was still pretty calm. There are signs about alligators, did not see any, but they are not going to bother several thousand people anyway.Do not know where the tranison area will be, there is a parking lot and lots and lots of grass at the race site. The place cries lets have a picnic! Car parking, good question. Rode most of the bike course.could not find one of the roads I was looking for,but that was probably my fault, I did pick it up again after dundee. The bike course is clock wise, one way, so you will not see lance coming back. First 20 miles are flat the others are rollers with flat parts and a few out of the saddle short climes. the roads are in great shape. This going to be a fast courseā¦unless the wind comes up, and it propably will, be prepared. Yesterday I pushed the wind the first 25 miles and there is little to stop it. Did not have time to do any running but will check that out later. Yes I did sign up to do the race and I would do it even if Lance was not going to be there. But to be honest I could not pass up the chance to race with Lance. I have race with Dave, Mark, Peter, Crowie, Paula, Natasta, Weclhie I know of no other sport that you can do that!
Transition will be in the parking lot next to the band shell - finish line is on the grass field infront of the band shell. Lake Eva is a beautiful park and will be a great place for IM 70.3 Florida. See you in May. Z
