Does anyone know of a floor pump that you can use to pump a disc (or H3) without the fiddly !%!%@#$@ little L-shape adapter?

get an inexpensive floor pump, the L-shaped adapter (I refuse to call it a crack pipe) a utility knife, a small hose clamp and a screwdriver.
Cut off the stock pump head, push the adapter into the hose, wrap the hose clamp around the hose, and tighten it with the screwdriver.
Problem solved.
The topeak smarthead (http://www.topeak.com/2004/products/pump_024.html) fits in there nicely. I replaced the head on my Silca with the topeak and I have no problem pumping up my Hed 3’s.

Thank you both. I’d like to avoid the “L” adapter altogether, since it has to be held on and PSIs above 130 are pretty hard to achieve with one hand on the pump.
Owen, you’re right that the smarthead works on Hed3s. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to work on the zipp disk (I just tried).
thanks, Jens
