FLO order 26

So I’ve been looking forward to trying and hopefully purchasing a set of wheels. Problem now is timing. The orders will happen July 21 (tentative) I have to have them by August 10th for my transport. I don’t think this is going to be able to happen.

So what would be another good set of wheels in this price range? I can’t spend the cash on zipps or enve wheels.

Could possibly rent wheels for the IM but would prefer to have some permanent and not toss away $150-200

Maybe look at Swiss side Hadrons. They have models with aluminum brake tracks and full carbon clinchers.

Williams? Those may be the only option near the Flo price point that are not generic open mold.

Assuming the sale takes place on the 21st (and it likely will) that’s nearly three weeks to get you the wheels. We can make that happen. What wheels are you looking to buy?

And this is why these guys are awesome!

On the last order on April 28th, my wheel shipped on May 10th, so 12 days later. So yours could ship on August 2nd. Then however long Fedex ground takes to get to you from Michigan. Very doable.

jagerbombster…Take Chris up on this. The first set of FLOs I ordered, I was in a similar situation & they took care of me.

Agreed! I was about to pull the trigger on a used disc but with responses like this, I’ll be hopping on first thing the 21st to wait “patiently” for the clock to ring 10am PT to pick up a new Flo disc instead. I’m almost tempted to add a front and I’m already set there. Thank you to Flo for taking care of the community.

Yeah I cant speak highly enough for the guys at FLO.
Also knowing that my cash is going towards the build a bike for kids fund.
Makes this crazy sport kinda worth the spending.

Been a busy day at the office and haven’t been able to check the forum.

I’m looking for either 60/60 or 60/90 clydesdale version. Missed out on the last order.

I think I’m going to do the same thing and just wait it out and see. Had my mind/budget set on the Flo carbons.Hopefully I can get me a set and also get it in time. If not I’ll probably just rent some or see if some buddies will let me borrow theirs.

Appreciate the responses guys!

You are very welcome. Let us know if you place an order on the 21st and we’ll get you taken care of.

Thanks for the interest.

Are there any independent reviews of the new Flo all-carbon wheels?

A couple I have seen…

Yes. But I think those reviews were when the wheels just came out or announced. Is there any real-world experience with the new carbon clinchers - say from order 25?

Any plans to offer rims without a rim-based brake track at some point?

We will be selling rim brake and track build options of our Carbon Clincher wheels soon, as a made to order option. When ordered, they will be built by Pro Wheel Builder in Georgia, and then shipped. They will be our standard carbon clincher rims and not a specific rim built without a brake track.

Take care,

There are the reviews mentioned above, and there are a few I’ve seen on here. Here is one talking about the braking performance of our new CC wheels http://forum.slowtwitch.com/forum/?post=5955201#p5955201.

I ran the front FLO90 full carbon at Chattanooga 70.3 and Muncie 70.3. I liked it quite a bit. There was some wind at Muncie, and I didn’t notice that it was any difference in handling compared to the alum/carbon FLO60 I used to run. It feels pretty light to me, but I’m not a wheel expert. It is lighter than that FLO60 alum.

I am racing the Lake Logan Half on 8/6. If I ordered a 60/90 set of wheels on the 7/21 order, what is the likelihood that I could get the wheels in time to install them and maybe get in a test ride or two before the race. I live nearby so I am driving to it on Friday, 8/5.
