looking to get a flat handle bar road bike for the wife. the nicer ones are alot more expensive than they should be with mediocre components at best. Specialized has the 2008 sirrus pro with a carbon frame which is nice but still the components aren’t that great for the money. any recommendation would be great and don’t tell me to get a true road bike for her, she doesn’t want one.
Get a Surly Crosscheck and slap a flat or mustache on it. I have a Voodoo Dambala with a mustache and love all the hand positions.
Try REI.
Here’s one: http://www.rei.com/product/747857
Plus, if you order online, you can have it shipped to a nearby REI (if they don’t have one in stock) and not pay shipping.
