At the Team-Magic race this morning I was mulling around the finish line when I heard the announcer call, “Coming in is M. Benton, of How to make flat coke from slowtwitch.” I LOL and then run up the chute into stream of exhausted people calling, “flat coke” (got many funny looks) until I met MMAKBenton. Super fellow. However, he did maintain that he started that thread as a joke. 
Man, I just prepped my own flat coke for the first time for EpicMan, which was yesterday.
I used a proprietary, 2 day treatment and put two - 20 oz bottles out on the LP run course Thursday evening.
As luck would have it, the bottles (along with water bottles) were in direct sun all morning and afternoon. They were cooking hot. Furthermore, my proprietary methodology for producing flat coke was pretty much a total failure. Hot, carbonated coke on a 90+ degree afternoon is NOT satisfying.
Shaking the bottle hard a few time, and outgassing the released CO2 is an effective alternative, though.
