for those that ride them, and preferably have been on both, how would you describe the diff in the two.
do you ride one or the other on the road or tri bike?
thanks!

I was using the Arione Ti last year on the road, and the Arione Tri for TTs (retired from Duathlons). I am now on the K:1 (yes, the saddle WITHOUT padding) and am loving as much as the other two. I need less padding on the road since I sit further back, whereas I tend to slide forward when doing TTs ( could also be the 20+ cm drop)I will also be switching to a new Arione Tri Carbon as soon as the Crono gets out of paint, and the new bracket is created by the machinist. The carbon rails don’t work in the current Guru Crono clamp.
My tip for Fizik is to ride them from the start of the season. NEVER EVER change in the middle as you won’t find a saddle that works. As much as you ahve to break in a saddle, you also have to break in your ass. Better to do it before the racing season begins, and you can afford to be a little sore when sitting at the office.
My 2 cents.

thanks for the reply.
I ride a toupe right now, i like it, but not exactly right.
I am bouncing back and forth between the road and tri version of the arione, will not have the option to try the tri version before hand. I would be putting this saddle on in the next week or so, which would give me a while to try it out.
I have Arione on the roadbike and Arione2 Tri Braided Carbon on the tri bike.
Tri version has more padding but it is carbon. I feel like road version has more flex in the center. if you ride on the nose go with the tri it has thicker nose. if you ride it normal take a look at the regular road version. If you have a colored shorts stay away from the road version cause the painted leather actually gives black color when it is wet.
I ride the Arione road, and the Arione Tri, and now the Arione Tri2. The road version took some time getting my ass used to it.
Last year I rode the tri and this year I’m switching to the tri2. I love the padding on the Tri version, but the new tri2 is flat where the old tri sloped upwards in the back. This forced me onto the nose and made climbing a little harder because I couldn’t get back on the saddle comfortably.
I’ll let you know how it goes with the switch between the new and old. I’m getting ready for my first ride on it now.
