I have finally decided (ie - wife gave me permission) to buy a new bike. I have been on an older Litespeed Saber that I bought used a few years ago. My old bike never really fit me all that great. I went to a FIST shop and had myself fitted “as best as possible” on the Litespeed. They did not put me on their fit bike to get my “ideal” fit coordinates.
The fitter mentioned that I am probably not ever going to get a really low position and when I am ready for a new bike, that Cervelo and other long/low bikes are probably not going to be my best fit.
I am thinking about a Speed Concept (from what I have read, the SC has a good range of fit potential - correct me if I am wrong).
I’d like to find a fitter/shop that will fit me right and sell me the correct bike. I’d prefer “one-stop” shopping for fit/purchase/maintenance (I can do most of my own wrench work, but would like to have a shop involved if needed).
Since you’re here in OC, I also recommend Edge in Laguna Hills. Hank and Mary Ann will provide PERSONAL service, are a small shop and care about their customers! Can’t go wrong!
I do like Edge and usualy buy small odds and ends there.
Have not been in there in a while. I am kinda looking to buy the bike where I get it fitted at.
