Fitting a previous wheelbuilder cover to new wheelset: Easton EC90 Aero

Just purchased a set of EC90 aero tubies. Last year I purchased a cover for easton vista, and was wondering the possibility of cutting it to fit the new EC90s? I guess my other two options would be to buy a new cover or ship the cover back to WB and have them cut it for me? I’d prefer the cheap do it yourself method though.

I just sent a message to wheelbuilder and will wait to hear back from them, but just wanted to see ST’s thoughts.

Has anyone put a cover on EC90 Aero’s?

Are the rims the same depth?

No the EC90 aero’s are 58mm deep and the vistas are like 29/30 or something like that.

Unless you’re very meticulous don’t cut it yourself. I cut down a CH Aero for a Hed Jet 60 one time and it looked like a home done job. Still worked fine, but wasn’t as neat as wheelbuilder could do.
