One of my brothers lives in Indy and is just getting into triathlon. I’m trying to find him a good bike fitter in town and a good swim coach. Any recommendations for either? Thanks.
those are two of the best parts of indy:
Both are pretty hard to beat. Vern does all the custom fits for roarke and can also do serotta, guru, or fit you to whatever bike you have or want. FIST certified. A+.
Indy swim fit has more than 7 practices a day at 4? locations. Each is coached. Most of the coaches swam D1. they are especially helpful to us newbies. I swim at the outdoor 50 m pool at the second practice of the day. I am in lane 2 (second slowest). there are 3 lanes faster than me. The fastest lane has a guy who swam the fastest 800m in the world (amateur?) and has set the swim course record at IM FL and just missed it by less than a minute at placid this year. There are a lot of beginners and triathletes. A+
