FIST vs BCSM

I am thinking it would be a good idea for me to get a more “fine tuned” bike fit since I feel like I have injuries lurking. i.e. ITB discomfort, hip/ lower back, foot discomfort. They don’t all bother me every ride, but I certainly don’t want anything to get worse and I feel that some of this is directly affecting my running.

Would a FIST fit ($100) be a good way to go or should I lay down $350 at the Boulder Center For Sports Medicine since I am privileged to live in Colorado?

In order to complicate your choices further, I would propose that you might get Serotta fitted at Sports Garage or Pro Peleton, $200 and $175, respectively. Sports Garage, in particular, has knowledgable, competent fitters.

I recently got FISTed in Seattle for fifty bucks and it felt good.

Jeff Guera at BSCM is the best around IMO and he actually fits Mr. Serotta on this bike. So - that should tell you something. Nothing against SG or PP but BCSM does it right.

Thanks for the input.

I just made an appointment to have Jeff fit me in a couple of weeks. They bill everything at BCSM under Physical Therapy so this is covered by my health insurance - very cool!
