FIST me (please be gentle...)

This morning I put the clip-on’s back on after a winter of road riding, so I haven’t adjusted anything (seat height, bar height etc). I would be very interested in any thoughts on my position.
Thanks.
Chris

.

Without knowing your goals or flexibility/physical limitations, I would say your saddle is too high and stem too long (frame is probably too big).

I am not a bike fitter but I am an spin instructor and do fit people on spin bikes. If you bring your right pedal all the way to 6 o’clock, it seems as if you are going to lock out your knee which means your seat is too high and or frame is too big. Someone tell me if this thinking is wrong.

(please be gentle…)
You are either into it, or you are not.

Don’t have my protractor handy at the moment but I would tend to agree that your seat appears a little high. You should be looking for about 145-150 degree knee bend. Yours definately looks a bit more than that.

As you are on a road bike here is a very interesting article by John Cobb regarding the slam position.
