Who takes fish oil? Are they all the same? I heard they were good for inflammation but am pretty clueless about them. I was looking last night and there were about 700 different kinds to choose from. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I took some for a bit, but it gave me some gas and everytime I burped, it smelled like fish, so that lasted about 2 days.

Yeah, I forgot to ask about side effects. I’m glad I asked before I bought the mega sized bottle. ![]()
I take Omega 3-6-9, I am not a big supplement type person but from all the reading I have done this is one worth taking. I take it in a gel cap form, I just buy the Vitamin Shoppe brand, never had a fish burp.
Been taking them for several years. Not sure if it placebo effect or not, but, I am one healthy bastard. My swim splits have improved vastly as well.
Lar dog
I’ve been taking it for over a year…it reduced my cholesterol by 50%…along with exercise.
Buy the ENTEREC coated gel pills and you will not get the fish burbs. Otherwise you will smell like Nemo.
I buy mine at Sam’s for like $13 for a million.
I prefer snake oil.
To keep the fish burps at a minimum, do this:
(1) keep them in the refridgerator, and
(2) take them at the beginning of a meal (bury them with food inthe gut).
Been taking them for years now.
My dog takes it…he seems quite pleased with the results!!
I’m big on fish oil.
Costco markets one that is enteric coated and extra strength. No burp-up of fish smell and probably the cheapest I have found. It is also distilled and filtered to remove mercury and other contaminants.
Flax seed oil provides the same benefits as fish oil, without the fish smell.

Just change “fish burp” to “sushi burp” and it becomes an extra bonus - I look forward to mine each day at 10am!!!
good point, ya buy the cheap shit and your also buying mercury poisoning
.
Flax does not provide same benefits as fish oil. I take Carlson’s
Norwegian Cod Liver Oil Lemon flavor. 17 oz. Liquid form, great taste,
no fish burps. You will not smell like Nemo. I purchase at The Vitamin
Shoppe. I tablespoon with meal - Keep refrigerated. This is a high
quality brand. Does Not Contain: Detectable levels of mercury, cadmium,
lead, PCB’'s and 28 other contaminants. Link below provides other
health benefits and supplement facts:

Ditto.
Get the molecularly distilled versions. They don’t have mercury.
I take Fish oil and Flaxseed oil.
Always take the fish oil at bedtime. That way if you burp it, it won’t bother anyone. Hopefully your spouse/‘significant other’ is already asleep if you do burp. (At least it won’t be in public.)
I don’t take it- I just make sure to eat fish, flax, nuts, lots of veggies, etc…
You’ve got a lot of company on this forum!

Most fish oil is made from salmon which don’t accumulate mercury like tuna or swordfish so shelling out a lot of dough for “purified, mercury free” is mostly a waste of money IMHO.
Kewl! Medicine for the feeble minded. Don’t forget the fish farts. Oh these things can make you shart too!
