First time using a trainer in years, what do you watch on your laptop or android tablet?

I havent used my trainer in years, last time I used it was with my vcr!.
What are some good videos I can put on my laptop, or android samsung tablet?.
Are there any tricks to using them?, I will be using my tri bike with a heart rate monitor.
I will be doing IMT in august, won’t be fast, hoping for a fun 14+.

thesufferfest.com has some of the best
you can hook them up to TrainerRoad.com if you have a speed sensor and use their virtual power feature

In my sig is a free trainer video my wife made to promote their bike racing team, just add music!

I watch the numbers change and the time click by on Trainerroad.

Depends if you want to a training-based video (in which case sufferfest or the like are great by all accounts) or just something to entertain you and stave off the boredom. I go for the latter and watch a lot of movies and TV series - series like 24 and Battlestar Galactica are perfect for me, lots of action, enough plot to keep me engaged but not too much for my oxygen-deprived brain to cope with.

I also prefer a TV to watching on a laptop/tablet as you can put it further away which I find is better for my riding position and neck muscles. I also use wireless headphones a lot of the time, partly to overcome the background noise of the trainer, and partly to spare the family from listening to whatever I’m watching.

They hit it right on the head. If you’re wanting good gains, TrainerRoad is the way to go. If you like really hard, but fun, workouts, then use TR and Sufferfest.

I just did a review of Chrysalis, their new triathlon brick video and I am giving away a free video to three people. Here’s the link for that

Also, if you’re interested I can hook you up with a free 30-day trial code for TrainerRoad. Shoot me a PM if you’re interested.
