I will be attempting IM Florida in Nov. I was thinking of doing a 1/2 IM in early Sept. You guys think that is enough time to recover? I was thinking that it would be a good training day for Florida. Remember this is coming from an IM newbie.

That leaves you more than enough time to recover, it only takes about a week to recover from a 1/2.
There’s no scientific research behind this affirmation neither multiple tests. It’s only a rule that I have been following and It seems to work for me.
I need one day recover for each mile that I raced on the run. If a do an Olympic distance tri then it will take one week to recover, a half 2 weeks and an Ironman a month.
Some people tend to recover faster then other fitness, age are factors that are directly related to recovery.
