One thing I noticed is the decal. Other pictures I have seen seem to have a more stealth looking dark grey color while this version is a brighter silver…

I don’t know of he did personally but Mcclaren design helped with the carbon lay up IIRC. Part of the cost is that to build it the carbon fabric pieces are cut precisely and when they are laid in the mold they have to be put in very carefully. The overlap from one piece to another is very small. With the other venges the same pattern is used but every piece is a bit over sized so they don’t have to be put in quite so carefully.
