Firefox Question

I was tooling around on Second Life today to see a buddy’s business, when my pc imploded

The pc went into safe mode then froze up. I shut down the pc, and when I started it back up, Firefox had none of it’s bookmarks. I did find the bookmarks in Profiles, under Documents and Settings. I am trying to reload the 8 billion triathlon bookmarks without doing it manually.

Can anyone suggest how to do this? (quickly)

Apparently the bookmark file is saved several times a day and wiped out as time progresses!

Sorry about your situation. After spending a couple of hours working on a guy’s computer with ie7 issues, I feel your pain. Unfortunately, I have no suggestions except that maybe it is time to evaluate whether or not you need 8,000,000 triathlon bookmarks. Good luck.

Thanks much Bernie, but I need the 8,000,000,000 triathlon bookmarks, not just the 8,000,000

Let me research/play with this.

You might quickly want to go to Bookmarks and go to “Import” and see where the default file location for importing is. Your bookmarks might be there.

PS: Go to http://www.del.icio.us, create an id and when you have your bookmarks back, export them to a file and then import them to del.icio.us and you can effectively save them online. In addition, you can find others with similar bookmarks and just share yours with the world (or keep them private).

When I tried to use the import tab earlier, it automatically defaults to IE, and there are no other choices available.

Thanks for the ideas.
