Finish Line Ceremic Wax lube?

I had just switched from the Finish Line “Pro Road Chain Lube” (which had worked well for me) to their newer “Ceremic Wax Lube”. I’ll be riding with the Ceremic Wax Lube for the first time early tomorrow morning but before I do, can I check if anyone had tried this product over a fair distance? Reason I ask is that the Ceremic Wax Lube appear to be very diluted and does not seem to have the smooth quality as compared to the “Pro Road Chain Lube”. I don’t think its oil based as it has a rather watery feel to it.

Thanks in advance

Hello Sabre and All,

Mobil 1 synthetic 0W-20 viscosity cut 1 part to 4 of odorless paint thinner (no impurities - available at art stores) has superior lubricating properties.

or

It is cost effective also.

The technique is to apply a small amount to the chain with a used Prolink or similar container that has a fine stream while rotating the chain.

Then after spinning the chain for a couple of minutes to distribute the oil - wipe the chain clean in small sections - until it shines -with a rag (back and forth) with the chain stopped.

Cheers,

Neal
