Finis swim lap counter

Does anyone have experience with the Finis Underwater Lap counter?? Looks like a good way to keep track of laps/splits. Not sure how sturdy it would be hanging over the side of the pool. Any other swim counter suggestions? Thanks

i’ve found it close to useless.

its hard to get it to stick to tile pool sides. i use the water bag to hold it in place, but it still moves around. it takes time to hit it. its hard to read it underwater, so you can’t get splits as you swim without actually stopping.

the basic idea and engineering is good, but the details are wrong in my experience.

It most be quite useless, since most good swimmers (roll?) when they turn and I don’t believe it’s sturdy enough for a leg kick away.

That looks good. I use my $34 Timex Ironman watch for swim laps. Every set to me is 10 lengths so each lap on the watch is 10 lengths. It is a non-issue to hit the button quickly after each couple of laps if I wanted to. A swim counter seems a bit unecessary, though that sportcount looks cool.

I have the Sportcount and like it. It gives some good info (at least when I remember to hit the button each lap).

I agree completely with Dawhead. Great idea, poor execution.
