Darn, jaylew had to spill the beans. I am heading off to run a few miles right now, I want to see how my foot is before I spend the money on the half caliman.
As to the other post, I would have ran/sprinted across the line, but that was not happening. I fractured my left foot around mile 8. All I have to say is, I finished!

Right now I say I am not racing at Caliman. I made it almost a half mile before my foot started to hurt. I would rather let my foot heel and have a good race later this year, than hurt myself more and have a so-so race now.
I will probably be looking to volunteer at the race. Need to find out the situation with when I need to pick up my daughter first.

Yes, that is my running hat. Last year I put on some cutoff shorts (w/ rope belt) and a wife beater for the run.
I still love to run with that hat. Spectators like it, so I wear it. I need to cut some holes in the top of it to let it breathe a bit.

Good on you! I know I would have finished, too. After putting all that time and money into a race, they’d have to shoot me and put me in a box to keep me from finishing.
It was a 1/2IM. This was Wildflower Long course from last weekend. As jawlew said, my run was two hours longer than my ride, well close to it.
