Campy Eurus vs. Velomax Ascent II wheels?
I’m 135 lbs., riding on some pretty tough, but very flat LI roads.
Looking for a combo training/racing wheel.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated!!

Did your bike not come with stock wheels? Have you considred Kyrsiums as well?
Does come stock w/Ksyriums…I’m looking to change them out for something lighter and more aero…
If you can afford the Eurus (aren’t they like $700-800 a wheelset?), you can afford real race wheels, like a Renn disc ($400) and a Spinergy Tillium front (probably ~$300). Or go even cheaper without sacrificing aerodynamics by getting a CH Aero disc cover ($60) for a cheap 32-spoke rear wheel and a Campy Shamal/Specialized Trispoke/something else off of ebay.
Maybe people have some other ideas, but I don’t think you’ll get much performance increase out of the wheels you mentioned over the Kyrsiums. I have to admit, being in Chicago I usually think of aerodynamics only as it’s pretty flat around here, so weight doesn’t factor too heavily into my thinking (as well it shouldn’t, unless you live in a seriously hilly area)
There are a few deep section wheels you can get for the price of the Eurus. Look at the American Classic CR 420’s, the new Reynolds aluminum wheels, or a set of Spinergy Tilium SS wheels.
That being said, the Eurus is a great wheel, you really can’t go wrong with it.
Don’t listen to them, the Eurus are some very stylish spins. If you want very exotic though, have you considered the Topolino’s? Veyr classy. The Spinergy’s may be the training/racing ticket, but on a Siena I’d say stick with little bit more classical rode wheelset.

I assumed you were doing tri’s - for road racing though aerodynamics wont matter as much. THe Eurus is a 30mm rim, so maybe "semi-"aero.
