For those of you who have rented a house for IM events and had to fill space, where/how were you successful?
I still have a bedroom for Canada open (shameless plug, see classifieds) for a very reasonable rate and my type a-hole personality would like to fill sooner vs. later. Thanks for any help.
We gave away our extra room at Kona to an up and coming lady (school teacher with limited funds). It helped her, made us feel good, and continues to spread goodwill to others.
And oh yeah…she went on to first in her age group! If you can afford it, I highly recommend it - she was very kind, respectful, interesting, and a pleasure to be around.
That’s a great idea, never thought of that.
How did you go about that? Is there a site you can post, do you contact the race org, etc?

Keep posting in the classifieds here as the day gets closer, there will be people like myself who may want to go and volunteer but won’t decide until weeks before.

Kegs, metal music, big scree tv w/ a gaming system, hookers and drugs.
Add in: industrial sized containers of deep fryer grease, some livestock, a tazer and you have just painted a picture of heaven my friend. Or hell, however the mood strikes.
