I’ve been calling dealers all over the Southeast US looking for this bike (or even a B2 for fit reference). I’ve also been sending pms to Superdave. Do either exist … the bike or Superdave? I’ve got dealers telling me they can order a DA for me, but only if I buy it first. Right. Like I’m going to buy a $7,000+ bike before I’ve thrown a leg over it.
Superdave, any help here? Will you respond to my pms please? Thanks.
Inside-Out Sports in Cary, NC has them in stock and a few built right now - 56 DA, 56 B2, 50 DA. You can give them a call at 919-466-0101. They also have a shop in Charlotte, but I have no idea what they have in stock. You could call them at 704-333-8331. The website is insideoutsports.com.
what size are you looking for our local bike shop has a b2 not sure of the size
I’m on a 51cm P3sl w/ 650c wheels. I’d like to see a DA in 50cm (650 wheels) and a 52cm (700 wheels). I’m really interested in exploring the jump to 700c. I know the DA is really pricey, but it includes Zipp 808s (in the 700c sizes) which I’d be looking to buy anyway if I made the jump to 700.
Tallahassee? I’ve heard it’s really a beautiful place. Could be worth a trip if you’ve got some inventory. Thanks for the reply.
I ordered my B2 frame/fork sight unseen and never tested from my local shop that carried them … I just went with the frame size I knew I would need based on the geometries that were given. But not everyone is willing to do that …
Did you try Trisports? Do their fly-n-fit program?
i can email you the store phone number,i am not sure what a da felt is but i belive the b2 is 52/54cmit is 700c.let me know if you want the number (this post is sure to have bad grammer and mispelled words)

I’ve ordered several bikes sight unseen before. I have no problem doing the math on frame geometry except in this case where I’m considering the jump from 650c to 700c. I really want to be sure that’s going to work for me.
I checked out that Trisports fly-n-fit thing. It’s not quite as sweet as it may sound on the surface. They’ll rebate your travel expenses … up to 10% of the value of your purchase from them, if you purchase from them on your trip. The rebate is in the form of a store credit for your NEXT purchase from them. It’s a lot better than nothing, but I’d sure prefer to work more locally.
They certainly exist. I’ve seen several of them, at various bike shops. The first place I’d try is R&A. I know they sell the bike, and generally speaking, if anyone has inventory, they do.

Yeah, I know because I looked into it to when I was shopping for the frame. but the main thing I was thinking was that they would have them in stock for you to look at …
They’re not vaporware, the decent shops seem to have quite a few on hand, my local felt-carrying tri specialist always seems to have 5 or 6 DAs and some B2s on the floor when I go in. They’re probably a little pricey for small, low-traffic shops to keep stock of…that’s what you get for living in the middle of nowhere I guess.
Weirdly I’ve yet to spot anyone actually riding one.
FWIW Nytro do a fly n buy deal too I think. With them/trisports/R&A at least if you end up not liking the DA they’ll probably have something else that you do like…
Dave is indeed traveling now, being super he’s a man of steel and remains solid up to about 1800K.
All of the 2007 iron-man style tri bikes share the same geometry and even saddle shape, so you can dial-a-fit on an S22, S32 or B2.
There’s a dealer locator here: http://www.feltracing.com/dealers/default.asp, and you can call our sales department for help in locating certain models. While they can’t know each dealers exact inventory, they will know which dealers have been shipped which bike models and who specialized in tri product.
Thanks for the reply. I’d send you a pm with what follows, but you’re not set up to accept them. I’ve tried using your dealer locator and every dealer I’ve contacted in SC and GA either has no B2s or DAs or they don’t have any of the sizes I’m interested in and won’t get them for me to try.
You list my LBS (The Great Escape in Anderson, SC) as one of your dealers. It comes up on your dealer locator as my nearest dealer. I’ve bought many road bikes from them over the years. They’re great people. But they’ve never been much for stocking tri/TT bikes (though getting more into it nowdays). So because they were listed as one of your dealers, and since I have a relationship with them, I called them to see what they could do to help me out. They said they’d call their rep and see if they could get me a B2 in the store in my size so I could evaluate it and see if I’d like to buy it. Apparently, the rep told them that they’d decided to offer the B2s and DAs exclusively to another store that’s many more miles away from me. That store IS more tri/TT oriented, and for that reason, I’d already spoken with them last week and they’d told me I was sorry out of luck. (Actually, that wasn’t all there was to that experience, but I’ll save that for another post. The person I spoke with couldn’t have been less knowledgeable about bike fit, wheel/tire considerations for TT racing, etc., though he spouted wrong answers and BS with a huge degree of self-confidence).
I’m sorry to say it, but I’ve pretty much written the Felts off at this point. I was really interested in seeing one. I’m very seriously into time trialing and I race all over the place. I’m one of the age group champs and track record holders at the time trial series at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte and I travel all over the Southeast to other TTs and triathlons. I’ve been reading about the Felt DA and B2 and was interested in seeing it and maybe owning it. After four or five hours on the phone and as much time on the internet, I haven’t been able to come up with one I can actually touch and feel and swing a leg over within 2 or 3 hours driving radius. Oh well. Oh … and I have no interest in driving 2 or 3 hours to see a low-end aluminum alternative.
I do appreciate your reply on Dave’s behalf. Thanks.
