FELT DA problems

I recently purchased a FELT DA. I have one problem. The stem is obviously fixed on the horizontal axis. It can only be perfectly straight. Mine is not. No matter what I do (flipping the stem, changing the bars, etc), the bars angle slightly to the left of the rider.

It appears that everything only bolts down one way.

Has anyone else had this problem?

No, but my seat is off center. I took it apar put a few different saddles on it and it still points out to the right. Taking is to my LBS this weekend and I am sure it will be taken care of. Love the bike though.

hmmm…crooked stems and seat pillars…sounds like poor quality :frowning:
.

There was a thread a couple weeks back that addressed things like this with Felt bikes, and included a link to a web page someone set up complaining about their DA. My wife has had 3 different Felts and all have been great…

i don’t own a DA, but i do think it is one of the coolest designs on 2 wheels.

that said, apparently other DA owners have observed the same problems you have.

send a pm to SuperDave (on this forum), and i am sure he will do all he can to help you out.

There is a small degree of rotational adjustment but it is difficult to sight because it has to be done with the extension removed.

Loosen the front two countersunk bolts under the stem hinge and align the stem, then retorque to the correct spec.

Best,
