My girlfriend just purchased an ‘05 Felt B2 size 50cm, over the internet–it is going to be a sweeeeet ride for her, we built it up with full-Ultegra and a Vision cockpit!! With that said, as I was sizing it up for her, the seatpost is about an inch too high, as the Carbon SM-AIRO seatpost flares out in the back (as it does on the ‘08 DA as well, my college xc/tri coach rides one and I was checking it out). Does anyone know if Felt makes a seatpost without this 3-4’’ flare on their aero-seatpost or if there is an aftermarket seatpost available that fits this frame?! Thanks a bunch.

Does your 05 Felt have a round seatpost insert with an aero top section?
If so, just get a different 27.2 post that is round the whole way.
If it is Aero-shaped into the frame, then you have problems. and perhaps a PM to superdave would be the next step

If thats the case, any 27.2 seatpost should fit, and their are a few companies that make posts with the aero section of various heights.
If the bike is a 2005 with the fully bladed integrated seatpost, you may have to contact superdave.

You’ll need a seatpost from one of the 2009 Felt Triathlon bikes with the alloy insert inside the carbon frame. We make this post in forward and rearward offsets.
This post has the same shape throughout its length as the forged two position alloy head has been replaced with a 1 piece carbon unit.
You local felt dealer should be able to help with your needs.
