This is my last week of a two week taper for this weekends Florida Half Ironman, and I feeling a little weird/down, could it be that my body is just recovering from all the training???Will I come around for the weekend…I have been focusing on drinking, eating and resting, with the usual reduction in volume…
Any comments regarding tapering will be appreciated…
Do not worry…Its normal. I was freaking out last year during my taper. Remeber reading a Mark Allen article aboout tapering,something about feeling really sluggish was a sign your body was in super-recovery. …You did the work,rest,relax and enjoy your race…be proud of yourself,you met the commitment of training,now the race will be your reward. Congratulations
