Feeler: Flo 90 + Disc

Trying to decide what to do about race wheels this season. 11-speed bike and Aeolus 9’s on the way, would hate to toss an Ultegra RD (10-speed) on to make the Flo’s work.

Stealth Black

Flo 90 Front purchased March 2013
Flo Disc purchased May 2013

Looking to get around $1000 for the set (just slightly under retail given demand and non-necessity to sell) or trade to some sort of Zipp 404 or all carbon equivalent (no Aluminum brake track, 11-speed compatible).

I have a set of 2013 Roval CL 60 to trade?

pics?

I may be interested in the disc. Are you willing to split? If so, what do you want for the disc?

Thanks for the interest guys.

Based on responses I will be selling the wheels, but I need to wait for their replacements to come in (4+ weeks for the D9’s). I will bump this thread as FS and PM those who have PM’d me when I am setup to sell.

I’m interested in the set as well. I know there are likely others in line ahead of me but if you don’t want to ship I’m close by in Bellevue.

Cheers!

Thanks for interest. I will be selling these, but not until after ~April 14th (need them for a race before new ones arrive). If the people that have sent me a message a while back are not interested I will let you know. Selling in person is always easier.

Thanks Jack.

Saw your photos and results from the Icebreaker TT at the beginning of the month. Nice ride!

Actually, I saw your photos at first and thought, “Who the heck is that!?! They look like a proper TT’er!”. Then I started sifting through the results and recognized your name after reading your blog and the thread here about the aero camp you attended.

I race locally as well but didn’t do the Icebreaker as I’ve been nursing a sore knee that I had surgery on in the fall. Starting to get it sorted and am looking forward to the state TT in Tenino. Want to do a good ride there.

Cheers!

Thanks!

Bummed that USAT Nationals and State TT overlap again this year. Would really like to take a solid crack at a 40k TT sometime soon. Hope to meet you at a race sometime soon. Glad to hear things are on the mend. Knock on wood, I’ve yet to have a real injury.

That is a bummer!

After the first one I did I couldn’t stand up straight or get in the car for a couple hours. My hamstrings were so knotted right where they attach to the pelvis that all I could do is just stretch them out. At least I won it!

Somehow I don’t think you’ll have any troubles like that.

Well, you’ve got lots of time for injuries! Not that I hope you have any. As you can tell by my handle, my former sport and the one I was nearly as good at as you are triathlon (yes, I read your bio and some of your blog entries) is not nearly as knee friendly as those you’re choosing to focus on. We’ll check back in 25 years and see how you’re doing. Haha!

Cheers!

And sorry for the thread derailment!

No problem on the derailment:P

I have skied my entire life although not nearly as much this year given the poor conditions and big focus on triathlon. Think I am down from 89 days in 12/13 to sub 30 for 13/14! Ski raced for a few years, although choose sailing over skiing. I what your talking about in terms of skiing and knees not playing nicely. My mom has now had 4 skiing related knee surgeries, most before I was born, and I can’t even count the number of my parents friends that have destroyed their knees either skiing or playing soccer.

Great to hear you enjoy skiing too. I made it through 20+ years of skiing and ski racing with good knees then was goofing off trying to entertain myself up at Snoqualmie with my wife and nephew and tore my meniscus. I joke that if I’d been hammering with my buddies at Alpental that day instead I’d probably be fine. Haha!

I didn’t get through all that racing injury free though as I did a number on my back and that is pretty much a constant issue now.

Anyway, good luck in your upcoming races. I hope your estimate of April 14 is accurate and all the others ahead of me in line were able to fill their orders with FLO this morning as my next TT is the weekend of the 18th of April at the Tour of Walla Walla.

I’ll keep an eye out for you out training and introduce myself. I’d tell you I’ll be wearing an AUDI kit but that likely won’t help you much considering how many of us there are locally!

Cheers!

Just sent you a pm about these. Just checking on the status.

Cheers!
