What brand and model are your favorites?
De soto Forza. IMO best combination of compression and comfort. Just enough pad for biking and not bother you while running.
Jaggad Terrain shorts are awesome!!! I can ride 120 miles on the standard chamois no problem. The option GRC is nice though if you need it and it’s easily removable.
I like my Zoot tri shorts. Never had any problems and they have held up well.
x2 on DeSoto. I like a minimal pad.

I got the Forzas based on recommendations here, and really like them. Agree w/ obi-one, pad is just enough on the bike, and don’t even notice at all on the run. Fabric seems a little heavier duty than normal spandex I’m used to in bike/tri shorts.

Would you say Forza over the Forza Riviera?

The Riviera has a bigger pad I think. The Riviera also uses the forza leg bands with the Carrera fabric. I prefer the fabric on the Forza to the Carrera’s. Having a version of the 400mile pad would be nice but I LOVE the minimal pad in the forza’s.

I’m a big fan of the Oomph lava shorts.
I have 4 pairs of them, and I do 95% of all my riding in them. The only time I wear normal cycling shorts is if I need to wear a team kit, or I’m lazy with wash.

+1. Great stuff but hard to find at a discount these days. I don’t find many retailers have them, so you may need to go to the company site, www.oomphsports.com
I use the Lava for training rides up to about 4 hours and 1/2’s and I have a pair of Kilauea for longer rides and IM races.
+2 on Oomph.
Great stuff…just don’t put them in the wash.
hand wash only.
I wash them in cold on the gentle cycle with all my work clothes - don’t DRY them
