Any recommendations on TT seats. Every seat I’ve used, whether standard road or tri just makes me numb down there after about an hour of riding. The only thing that works is if I tilt the seat down. The downfall is that I’m sliding down all the time.

let me be the first of many to ask: have you been fit on your bike?
if the fit is proper and you are having issues, then it is likely the saddle.
but no matter how cush/plush/ergonomic/shaped the saddle is, if you aren’t fit and balanced on your bike, it won’t feel very good.
I have not tried the ISM seat and have been properly fit on the bike. My LBS lets me demo some seats, but I still haven’t found one thats comfortable. Has anyone else have experience with the ISM seats?
I demo’d a ISM seat at an expo last year, I liked it, but I didnt want to pony up the money to find another seat that I wasn’t happy with. I have been riding the Fizik arione (not the tri model) for the last 3 years and I absolutely love it. I like how the top channel down the length of the seat is flatter than most conventional seats, I feel that it distributes the pressure better and I do not have any numbness problems anymore.
Thanks for the info. I’m in the same boat with the money issue. I have an Arione on my road bike. I’ll put it on my TT bike to give it a try. Why didn’t I think of that before???
good luck.
for me the arione feels fine in a road position
as soon as i lean over

selle italia slr t1 works great for me

Check my blog, i’ve been running Adamos on my road and TT bike for a couple of years now. I’ve got some pics of the newer model that was just release this week. After the initial set up they are the most comfortable (race level) saddle i’ve ever raced on.

that looks promising with the groove there

i just got my first tri bike, haven’t even sat on it yet in fact.
i spent a good deal on my selle san marco rever for my road bike & love it.
is a saddle on a tri bike going to feel different because of my angle & how i hit the seat then?
usually yes. As you lean over you put pressure on different parts of your crotch.
If you are light and pedal hard you may not notice =)
is a saddle on a tri bike going to feel different because of my angle & how i hit the seat then?
yes, your pelvis will be rotated forward more and therefore put more pressure at the front of your under carriage. If you could rotate the nose of the saddle all the way down you could alleviate that, however you will slide off the saddle and never be able to sit on it. So although you can rotate the saddle some, you will still have to have, more or less, your saddle horizontal. The point of ‘TT/Tri’ specific saddles is to aleviate some pressure as you rotate off of your sit bones and onto your soft tissue (where your nerves and arteries to your favorite parts go). Cutouts help some people, not all. Some people just need a broader nose to distribute the pressure over a larger area. I’ve found the adamo lets me stay on my sit bones even when aero. Try to get a hold of a few saddles and try them, everyone’s shape is different.
Those new Adamo’s look nice. Is the shape any different? Or just color and cover? The all white one looks skinnier in the nose. Maybe it is an illusion.
The ‘Road’ model is identical, but just a new cover. I think it looks much better also. The Peloton looks and feels the same on the front end, the back is narrower but does still have a small hook, it looks a little sleeker. The back end looks similar to an ‘arione’.
I’m trying out the John Cobb V-Flow Plus. I only have one 25 mi ride on it but the design seems to help with the pressure issue. He is supposedly introducing a new saddle in April but I don’t know any more than that. The nice thing about his saddles is that they have a 180 day trial period.
Sorry, I’m not clear on your reply. Are you comparing the new road model to the new racing model or either of them to the old Adamo models?
I am interested in hearing if there is any noticeable difference between the new and the old models. I’m still searching for a tri saddle that works for me and it’s sounding like one of these (or maybe the soon-to-arrive Cobb Model) might be the one. But I want to pick the right one to begin with.
I’ve been using the ‘road’ model only. So the new ‘road’ and ‘peloton’ are the same in the way they fit. I’ve used the ‘race’ model but didn’t like it as much. Its not just gel padding and Ti rails that are different. If you look at the saddles (race vs. road/peloton) there is also a difference in the shape of the nose(s) from the front view. The protrusions that you sit on, is round on top on the race model and the road/peloton models have a slight chamfer, toward the inside of the cutout, this makes more of a slight pocket that i’ve found relieves more pressure/fits better.
Even for aero position? That’s where I really need to find the right seat.
Especially in the aero position.
