Favorite running/workout songs

Well I broke down and bought an IPOD and will be downloading songs tonight. Anyone mind sharing the names of some of their favorite running/workout songs? Thanks for the help,

Kevin

Dragon’s Lair by Saxon

Centuries of Sin by Probot

Queen of the Nile by Dangerous Toys

The Warrior, by Scandal with Patty Smyth
.

I Ran - Flock of Seagulls (only kidding about 70%)

Extreme Ways - Moby

The whole Matrix soundtrack is excellent for running and for stationary trainer. You have to put “Lunatic Fringe” an there as well along with a lot of the songs from the 'Vision Quest" soundtrack.

What happened to “Pig Pickin”?

U2, Beef Curtains, Sandinistan Astronauts, Chime Head, Scrotal Rebellion, Chinks in the Armor, Blood Flood, You Sank Our Battleship, The Glory Buckets, Bat Monkey, UB40

All good stuff.

You’ll love the iPod, I love mine. 2 suggestions:
For harder/faster workouts and weight lifting: Rammstein ‘Sehnsucht’.
For more mellow runs: Jack Johnson ‘On and On’.

I must be getting old…the only band’s I’ve ever heard of are U2, UB40, VanHalen and regrettably Flock of Seagulls. Are you guy’s just making up names of bands? If so, my make believe band name are:
Bucket of Chicken & Spin the Baby!

Who are these people? Jack Johnson is about the only one I have heard of. My mp3 player I had Soaking Up the Sun, Hazard to Myself, fat bottom girls, long cool woman in a black dress, etc. For cool downs I had some enya songs or bitter sweet symphony. I also love U2 songs.

I am going to download some of the songs and try them, but man, I am not that old and I don’t know these people… lol

That’s awesome! I love it. You’d better copyright those names though… Better yet start a couple of bands!

the haunted - hollow ground

try and keep in time with the drumming and your cadence will be faster than paula radcliffes…and thats a slow song for them.

The Boss–Born to Run

Rollins Band: The End of Silence or Weight

Suicidal Tendencies: Prime Cuts or Freedumb

Danzig

Helmet

Genesis - ABACAB

i dont listen to music at all while training but if I did would probably be stuff like Ultraviolence, Praga Kahn, Agnostic Front, OLD Dropkick Murphys, Minor Threat…stuff that gets me moving.

Making up bands? I’m not sure what you are talking about.

Here are some other bands that I forgot to mention:

Hillary Duff, Squash Brains, Lava Ass, The Japanese Frankfurters, Anal Confetti, 401(k) Jelly, Swamp Kitchen, Big Montana, The Elton John Police, Chainsaw Honey and INXS

how about “rage against the machine”? bombtrack is a great way to get things started.
