Call me a nerd, but I like “The Vinyl Cafe” and “Quirks and Quarks” on this site:

.

I really like

The age grouper
Competitor
Tri talk
Simply Stu

Zen and the art of triathlon is good, but not as good as it used to be…

I also like “in our time with melvin bragg” as that’s a great one for just discussions on random really esoteric topics like the council of nicaea, or the four humors, or camus…

podrunner - free workout tunes set to specific BPM (all dance/house/techno, though)
available thru iTunes.

My list…can subscribe thru iTunes…

Ironmantalk

Zen and the Art of Triathlon
Age Grouper
Fred Cast
Spokesman
Pheddipidations

I second The Vinyl Cafe. I first listened to it about 10 years ago when I lived in Toronto and just started listening again on podcast. It’s still very funny.

Economist this Week
Bloomburg on The Money
Morning Analyst Calls
CBC’s Ideas
BBC Newscast
CBC evening news (I’m a yank but like to spy on the neighbors)

Plus a little Car Talk

May as well learn something while I’m wasting time grinding down some godforsaken slushy road. I tried one of the tri ones a few weeks ago, first the guy ralked about himself at length then took 20 minutes explaining why drinking some water would be a good idea. I’d rather hear and economist talk about the subprime mess, at least its got some meat.
